With experience working as Director of Marketing for real estate developers as well as a consultant at advertising and public relations agencies, Kirsten offers a comprehensive understanding of all facets of real estate marketing.  KNR Marketing allows her experience and expertise to be available to real estate brokers, developers and asset managers.
Kirsten Risko
Founder and Principal

Kirsten Risko left the corporate world to consult in 2014.  She has worked with several developers in the NY Metro area on successful leasing and sales of new development projects.

Prior to that, Ms. Risko was Director of Marketing for LCOR.  She was responsible for the marketing efforts for the new developments in the pipeline in the NYC and Bethesda offices.  Additionally, she supported the efforts of the rentals in the company's national portfolio.

She was part of the team who successfully launched and leased up 25 Broad at The Exchange in Manhattan's financial district and 250N10 in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn.  She worked on the pre-development efforts for The Altaire in Arlington, VA and the re-zoning of The Commons of McLean in Tyson's Corner, VA. Additionally, she was responsible for converting twenty property websites to Yardi's Rent Cafe platform.

In her role as the Manager of Integrated Marketing for Rose Associates’ Residential Marketing Division. She was responsible for implementing the marketing initiatives to promote Rose-owned properties, as well as third party assets. Ms. Risko oversaw RoseNYC.com, the interactive lead generation tool used by Rose Associates to drive qualified traffic to its on-site leasing and sales offices. Leveraging her extensive experience in interactive marketing, she managed content and branding for RoseNYC to successfully advance the sales and leasing efforts at properties owned by third parties, as well as Rose Associates. She regularly evaluated the website’s performance in the areas of search engine optimization and search engine marketing. Ms. Risko also managed social media campaigns through Facebook, Twitter and blogs to support the RoseNYC lead generation program.

In addition, Ms. Risko served as marketing project manager for new residential projects, beginning with the pre-development consulting phase. On behalf of owners, she worked with ad agencies, design teams and public relations firms. She also coordinated marketing initiatives that support leasing programs at buildings in maintenance leasing phases to sustain occupancy levels and maximize building revenue. In 2009, she worked on the re-positioning of Oro, a distressed condominium and implemented a marketing program for Riverton Square in only six weeks. She participated in the marketing plan for 184 Kent and 34 Berry, two rental buildings in Williamsburg which were fully leased in 2010.  She launched the marketing effort for The Rental Collection at William Beaver House, the re-branding efforts for One City Place and 2 Cooper.

 

Having worked in residential real estate for close to two decades, Ms. Risko has overseen marketing efforts across several platforms, including branding, advertising and public relations. She has worked on marketing efforts of such notable properties as Bridge Tower Place, Residences at Ritz Carlton-Battery Park City, Residences at Ritz Carlton-Boston Common, Residences at Ritz Carlton-Washington, D.C., and the Residences at Four Seasons in San Francisco and Miami.

 

Ms. Risko began her career at Weichert Realtors, where she worked within the firm’s marketing department. She acted as project manager in the development of a database- driven website at a time when the Internet was emerging as a platform for marketing real estate.

 

As director of advertising and marketing for YHD Foxton’s, she developed a branding campaign to reposition the firm in the marketplace. She has also worked as an account supervisor and media director at boutique ad agencies and a public relations firms specializing in the real estate industry. 

Her expertise in advertising and marketing coupled with her knowledge of the real estate industry provides real estate developers and property mangers with the insights needed to maximize the revenue gained from their leasing and sales while maintaining realistic marketing budgets.
